Building Fund Matching Gift
As we reflect on 1.5 years since we launched our building fund, we can’t help but be amazed at God’s faithfulness to provide in abundant and often unexpected ways. And he continues to surprise and delight us! Recently we were approached by an anonymous donor with an extremely generous proposal. This friend has offered to match new building fund donations between now and May 31st up to $20,000! What an exciting and unexpected gift from the Lord.
One of the donor’s main desires is to bless our church without creating a burden for members who already give so sacrificially. In order to honor this desire, we have decided to extend this offer to non-members only. We want to make the most of this matching gift and are reaching out to all non-members who have donated to our fund in the past as well as many former members who are no longer in Louisville.
Here’s where you can help! If you know of any friends, family members, bosses, or coworkers who might be interested in giving, let them know about this unique opportunity! Any amount that they donate between now and May 31st, no matter how small, will be automatically doubled by this generous donor. In just a few short weeks, our building fund could increase by $40,000. What an encouragement that would be to our church and yet another reminder that our Father delights to bless us beyond what we can imagine.
Regardless of whether you know of anyone who might want to give, please join us in praying for the Lord to work and help us steward this unique opportunity. If you would like to share this opportunity with others, we can send you a template email that explains the matching gift and how to donate. Don’t forget that the matching offer ends after May 31st.
We can’t conclude without thanking you again for your generosity, your faithfulness, and your trust in the Lord. We love this church and thank God for you.
“We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3
