Pray for Toronto
Requesting your Prayerful Support
Tomorrow morning at 6:30am, about a dozen SGCL members will be departing for Toronto to serve Sovereign Grace Church of Toronto for the week.
What will we be doing?
The members of SGCT have organized a music camp as a means to serve the community and reach out evangelistically. So each day from Monday through Friday we will introduce a group of 6-12 year olds to a different genre of music. Our team will be rocking out some music each day…while Michael Granger and Matt Gray serve as our resident goofballs and lead through skits. I wish each of you could observe firsthand the talent represented by this team.
Kids will participate in choirs and rhythm training led by members of SGCT. In addition, there will a daily chapel where our own Michael Granger and Matt Gray will share teaching responsibilities as they introduce biblical themes like creation, sin, and redemption to the kids in attendance. Over the course of this week, attendees will learn much about music and will repeatedly hear the good news of our Savior.
What can you do for us?
Pray. Please pray daily for us. Here are three ways:
- Model Christlike Character: Our deep desire is to show the love of Christ to every kid in attendance. Please pray that we excel in godly character, marked by joy, patience, and an eager heart to serve.
- Proclaim Christ with Boldness: Every member of our team will have gospel opportunities. Please pray for a readiness in each our hearts to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to camp attendees, their parents, and others in the community.
- Deepen our Partnership: Sovereign Grace Church of Toronto is our northernmost outpost for the gospel. What an important mission field. Yet, as a result of their location, they rarely get to experience firsthand the partnership between Sovereign Grace Churches. Please pray that our team would be an encouragement to all the members of this strategic church. Pray that our fellowship together would refresh this body of believers. This is a church of mature members, led by men of tremendous integrity. It’s truly our honor to experience this week with them.
