Jeff serves the Sovereign Grace Church of Louisville through preaching and helping C.J. oversee the teaching diet of the church, along with pastoral care. In addition, Jeff is the Director of Theology and Training for Sovereign Grace Churches and the dean of the Sovereign Grace Pastor's College. As a part of that role, Jeff leads pastoral and theological training for Sovereign Grace Churches, and is responsible to see that ordination standards and testing are in place to serve Regional Ordination Committees. He also works with the Theology Committee in developing the Sovereign Grace Statement of Faith and develops resources through writing and publication to equip people both in and outside of Sovereign Grace.
Jeff is the editor of Bible Doctrine, an abridgment of Wayne Grudem’s Systematic Theology, and contributed a chapter to Worldliness: Resisting the Seduction of a Fallen World. In addition, he serves on the board of The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
Jeff is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from The Catholic University of America. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois (M.Div., 1998), where he taught Greek as a teaching fellow in the New Testament department and worked as a teaching assistant in systematic theology for Wayne Grudem. Jeff’s pre-ministry experience combines a degree in Economics and English Literature with a decade in the corporate banking world.
Jeff lives in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife, Julie, and their two sons, Samuel and Benjamin.
